Project Management

While working in a start-up company, I got a chance to gain a wide range of experience in different areas such as project management and product development. Afterward, I got a project management course and then the certification(IPMA Level-C) from International Project Management Association. Therefore I started to support our team as a project coordinator under the Driver Information and Infotainment Department. Under this responsibility, I act as a project manager in such product development projects like digital instrument cluster, in-vehicle infotainment system, telematic unit, audio system, wireless phone charger, etc. I am responsible for supplier relations with the help of my communication skill so acting as a bridge between the team and supplier.

Also, as a part of the engineering service program in the GÜNSEL, I am a responsible project coordinator for ergonomy and product development services in the outsource projects of the other OEMs (micro-mobility and bus manufacturers) and defense industry in Turkey. In parallel, I used to provide my design skills in that service therefore I supported HMI design for company restaurant automation systems and corporate software solutions applications.

To summarize, my career was expanded with a project management skill from only a designer skill. So I started as a UX designer, got experienced and still serve. But, in time, I became a project coordinator of the projects which I designed user interfaces for. Because there was a decision taken by the high management to stop developing their own product due to the infeasibility and continue working with a supplier which will end up with the final product.
